Alienation scores gold at Youth Olympic Games « Yawning Bread on WordPress July 31, 2010

Like its North-Korean distant cousin when it comes to nation building event, Singapore government is no stranger to filling stadiums by sending students by busloads to do the clap for National Day events. Looks like the Youth Olympics Games will not be much different.

I am sure the YOG will be a huge success.

“By any chance has it got to do with marching orders for all students to attend the Youth Olympic Games?”

Griffin Technology Motif for iPhone 4 Review | Macworld

Of course, like other iPhone cases, the Motif prevents you from placing your encased iPhone 4 in most dock-cradle accessories without a third-party adapter such as SendStation’s Dock Extender or CableJive’s Dock Extender Cable. Alternatively, you can just remove your phone from the Motif when you want to use a dock-cradle accessory—of the cases available through the iPhone 4 Case Program, only Apple’s Bumper case is easier to remove than the Motif.

The Motif’s TPU material is thin enough that the case doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone, but still offers a bit of protection against drops and bumps. However, as with all the other cases in the iPhone 4 Case Program, the Motif leaves the iPhone’s screen exposed.

The pragmatic Singaporeans should buy women from abroad July 30, 2010

Always the pragmatic Singaporeans (the comments section is a treasure trove)

Don’t be ashamed that you’re a human trafficker even if you’re young, the story seems to say. As bonus, you also get a free womb, housemaid and a caregiver for older folks in the family. For life.

All that for only S$5,000 to S$10,000. What a great deal it is; the housing subsidy you get from the government when you can wave a marriage certificate is much more than that amount!

I may not have the abilities or the privileges you possess, but at least I know I possess one quality, that judging from your comments, you are deficient in – I care.

LG Display Unable to Fill All IPad Orders – WSJ.com July 23, 2010

At least Google Translate was not used, contrary to many e-mails I receive from our dear star customers.

“Apple is ordering more and more displays but it isn’t something we can be able to respond quickly,” Chief Executive Kwon Young-soo said Thursday. “I am not sure whether we can be able to meet orders from other companies for similar products, but we will be able to supply the displays without fail…by the second quarter of next year.”

I am seriously wondering when will the iPad be upgraded to a high-res Retina Disaply with twice as much RAM.
